More about the Education Project.
To harvest discpline, humility, hardwork, self reliance, one must sow a seed of education.
Sharing Ministries Uganda aims at improving the literacy levels of children in Mityana, Kiboga and Kabale districts by 25% by the year 2026.
1.) Due to high levels of illiteracy, we decided to prioritize this program, hoping to turn these hopeless kids into responsible and self-reliant parents of the future.
We all know that education is the most powerful weapon that has transformed our nation.
We currently have 21 children in this program, due to limited resources brought by the effects of Covid-19.
Our target is to have 500 children under this program by 2025. And we can only do this if we have your kind support.
In this case, we need 30 USD (105,000 shillings) per child on a monthly basis. This money works on paying school fees, buying school uniforms, medical check-ups every after 2 months and feeding children while at school.
2).Youth education for easy employment
According to analysis, 6 out of 10 youths here are unemployed.
This has led to a high rate of crimes, early marriages and under development of these areas. Sharing Ministries Uganda came up with an ending solution to this problem. The proved solution was to initiate all needful categories of youths into Vocational and Technical education. This is because the hands-on training offers vast practical skills, hense making the youths job creators rather than being job seekers.
We are currently partnering with Mityana Technical College and we currently support 15 youths per year.
We ensure that the youth is trained, and is given a start-up capital after training.
Here, we need 60 USD (210,000 shillings) per month for each trainee inorder to make this happen.
And due to high demand, we have a grand plan of establishing our own Vocational school by 2027.
Our overall budget for a Vocational School is 200,000 USD (equivalent to 700,000,000 Uganda Shillings). We have a prepared project proposal for any willing donors. We want to raise 4,000 dollars per year inorder to make this dream come true.
We therefore call for all willing donors and sponsors to support our efforts of transforming the lives of the unprivileged through this project of education.
